Of course the press should be liberal. I mean liberal is a complete fucking misnomer in regards to the press; they are PROGRESSIVE AND CONTRARIAN. Obviously journalists need to be contrarian. They need to observe the people in power, politicians, corporate leaders, the top 1% of power, and they need to critique them. Journalists must find EVERYTHING that is bad and good about these characters, but mostly bad. If journalists fail at this task then democracy fails. Our society, egalitarian as it poses to be, is dependent on the masses having the truth about their leaders. Journalists must do their job well to provide these truths... Peter Jennings was a hero in my mind.
